MargKen Beads & Clothing Training Centre

Empowering Women and PWDs Through Skills, Inclusion & Innovation

OUR PROFILE

MargKen Beads & Clothing Training Centre is a Ghana-based vocational institution building a new generation of creative, digital, and green entrepreneurs through inclusive, future-ready training. We empower women and persons with disabilities (PWDs) with practical skills, entrepreneurial capacity, and innovation tools to thrive in today’s economy.

Who We Are

MargKen Beads & Clothing Training Centre is a vocational institution in Ghana dedicated to the economic empowerment of women and persons with disabilities (PWDs). Led by CEO Kenneth Osei-Agyemang, we equip underserved learners with practical, market-relevant skills in bead artistry, fashion, entrepreneurship, and digital innovation.

Our work bridges the gap between traditional vocational education and the modern creative economy, ensuring that our beneficiaries are not only skilled but also competitive.

Our Story

Before the combined impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and a devastating fire outbreak that destroyed our facilities, MargKen successfully trained hundreds of learners across three graduation cohorts. Our graduates built sustainable livelihoods through bead artistry and creative enterprise.

These challenges did not end our mission. Instead, they strengthened our resolve. Today, MargKen is rebuilding stronger, smarter, and more inclusive than ever — with a renewed vision to create a model vocational institution for Africa.

Our Build Back Better & Greener Initiative

MargKen is currently implementing a bold transformation strategy designed to meet the demands of the future of work:

Accessible Infrastructure Development

We are rebuilding inclusive, disability-friendly training facilities that ensure persons with disabilities can learn with dignity and independence.

Fashion & Clothing Programme

We are expanding into fashion and clothing design, integrating traditional craftsmanship with modern design, production techniques, and market trends.

Digital & AI Innovation Lab

We are establishing a Digital & AI Innovation Lab to equip vocational learners with digital design, AI tools, and technology skills needed for the modern economy.

Green & Circular Production

We aim to source 40–50% of our training and production materials from recycled and upcycled waste, promoting sustainability and environmental responsibility.

Through this integrated approach, we are developing tech-savvy, eco-conscious entrepreneurs who can compete in local and global markets.

Why Our Work Matters

Across Africa, millions of young people — especially women and persons with disabilities — are excluded from meaningful economic opportunities. Many vocational systems still ignore digital skills, innovation, and access to global markets.

MargKen is changing this narrative.
