CEO Message
A Message from Our Founder & CEO
MargKen Beads & Clothing Training Centre is a purpose-driven vocational institution advancing inclusive workforce development in Ghana. Under my leadership, MargKen trained and graduated hundreds of learners prior to disruptions caused by COVID-19 and a facility fire outbreak.
We are now executing a strategic Build Back Better & Greener growth agenda focused on infrastructure expansion, program diversification into fashion and clothing, and the establishment of a Digital and AI Innovation Lab. Our model integrates sustainability, innovation, and inclusion—positioning MargKen to produce competitive, future-ready creative entrepreneurs.
Our long-term vision is to scale MargKen into a modern African creative skills institution delivering measurable social impact and economic returns.

Voices of Impact
Real stories from learners have been transformed.
“I am Mrs. Cornelia Acquah, CEO of Inc. Konelle Accessories and Fashion House, and a former student of MargKen Beads Training School. I discovered MargKen through a friend who had also attended the school. The training I received enabled me to earn extra income for my family by making necklaces, bracelets, slippers, and bead bags for my clients. It also expanded my knowledge of jewelry, including where to find authentic local beads for purchase and export. During my time at MargKen, I had the opportunity to visit the Cedi Beads Factory in Krobo and the Koforidua beads market. I am grateful to Ken for his understanding and patience with us.”
“I am Adwoa Tipong–Annor, now Mrs. Partey, and the CEO of Ronatips Beads and Accessories. After graduating from the University of Ghana, finding a job was very frustrating. For over two years, I could not secure employment until late 2011 when I saw a banner for MargKen Beads Training School. I took the number and followed up. This training has significantly helped me earn a good income to support myself and my family. Additionally, I have been able to employ three girls to work with me.”
“I am Mrs. Mary Kodjie, CEO of MayHarriet Beads Jewelry, and a mother of three girls. I was a housewife until my husband faced medical issues, making it challenging to support our family. In search of a way to sustain us economically, a family friend who graduated from MargKen Beads Training School introduced me to the institution. Since 2014, MargKen has significantly helped improve our family’s finances. I can now support my family and cover my husband’s medical bills. In 2016, I traveled to Botswana to participate in their anniversary fair, which provided valuable exposure and increased my regular income.”
